Fuelled by the country's rapid economic growth, especially in the IT, ITES and business sectors, the demand for business hotels have steeply risen, creating room for world standard lodging.

Understanding this demand, Auromatrix responded to it with Urbanedge Hotels, a special purpose vehicle jointly formed with Citi Property Investors (CPI).

With an initial outlay of US$ 200 million, Urbanedge Hotels has established the 'Aloft' chain of Hotels, a prestigious brand of the Starwood Hotels and Resorts group. Classified as a 4 star deluxe hotel, The Aloft Hotels are targeted at catering to the IT & Business community.

The significance of this project can be underlined by the fact that Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. themselves are one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world with approximately 890 properties in more than 100 countries and 145,000 employees at its owned and managed properties.

The first properties in the Aloft chain opened in Chennai and Bengaluru in June 2010. Aloft Coimbatore commenced operations in August 2011. Work is in progress at Ahmedabad and Chandigarh.

Aloft, OMR, Chennai: This property is a 135 room, 4 star deluxe hotel located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The project is owned by Urbanedge and managed by Auromatrix.

Aloft, Whitefield, Bengaluru: This property is a 4 star, deluxe hotel with 170 rooms located at Whitefield, Bangalore. The project is owned by Urbanedge and managed by Auromatrix.

Aloft, Coimbatore: This property is a 4 star, deluxe hotel with 170 rooms in Coimbatore. The project is owned by Urbanedge and managed by Auromatrix.

Aloft, Ahmedabad: This property is a 4 star, deluxe hotel with 180 rooms in Ahmedabad. The project is owned by Urbanedge and managed by Auromatrix.

Aloft, Chandigarh: This property is a 4 star, deluxe hotel with 180 rooms located at Zirkapur, Chandigarh. The project is owned by Urbanedge and managed by Auromatrix.
